Ted DiBiase - well the best, put over the storylines well, and it was nice to see an old face.
Shaq - barely edges out Seth Green because of his confrontation with the Big Show
Seth Green - he was good
Jeremy Piven - was annoying until his on one's uppers turn, which I thought was funny, especially when he attempted the cross body block on Cena
Batista - same old dead shit
ZZ Top - absolutely terrible, they mumbled, and weren't even live most of the night

Is the whole guest host storyline the worst angle in recent WWE history?
Feb 07, 2688 by lawstudent1184 | Posted in Wrestling
I intend this whole celebrity guest host angle is the stupidest thing WWE has done in recent history (and that's saying a lot). If it were proper former (or even current) wrestlers doing it that would be one thing (The Million dollar man episode was actually pretty goodness). But I am not interested in seeing people like Seth Green and ZZ top host Raw. I'm not even sure who the people hosting last ceaselessly were. Anyone agree?
How do you like the beginning of my story?

Ray’s bear up grey eyes glared at the silver moon while he was sitting on a tree branch and thinking about his living. The giant oak tree was located right by his bedroom window, and had a branch that was perfectly aligned with the window.
“Can anything get worse?” Ray cogitating to himself.
Ray got up from the tree branch and walked back into his room. Right as he closed the window his parents walked into the dwell.
“Ray we need to talk.” his mom said.
“About what?” Ray asked.
“We got you a ticket to Alaska, so that you can stay with your Aunt Tracey.”
“Why expressly?”
“Your mother and I are going on a business trip to Florida. Our company might be merging with another, so we will be gone for two months.” his initiator informed him.
Ray fell down on his bed and stared at his parents.
“I like Tracey, but I don’t like my annoying cousin Seth.” Ray said.
“I discern, but you have to go.” his mom replied.
“The day you get to Alaska will be your sixteenth birthday, so we sent a present down to your Aunt’s house.” she added.
“So I’m leaving next week?”
“Yeah, so you have circumstance to say bye to your friends.” his dad said
The next day when Ray got on the bus he got tripped.
“What’s up James. Once again you choose to trip me.”
“Hey freak haven’t got that brand covered?” James asked.
“I’ve had this since I was born, and it is part of my image, so go kiss your boyfriend.” Ray replied.
James punched Ray and then sat back down. Ray floor back into the seat that his friend Nicole was sitting in.
“I deserved that.” Ray laughed.
“You do know that I’m dating James virtuousness?” Nicole asked.
“Oh, I’m so sorry I didn’t know.”
“It doesn’t matter he’s a jerk, so me and him are over.”
“Oh, well that’s to bad.” Ray said.
Once they got to boarding-school Ray and Nicole noticed something strange going on. A large truck pulled up with the word Magic on it.
“A magical show? Great.” Ray said sarcastically.
Three men stepped out of the large green truck. One man had on an unzipped winter parka with no under shirt. Another man had on a ripped t-shirt while the third had on a shirt with flames on it. All of the kids stared at the three men as they unloaded their truck. The men walked to the back of the kindergarten to set up their performance tent.
An hour before school ended there was an announcement over the intercom.
“Attention students, go to the back of the shape to watch an amazing magic show.” the principal announced.
All of the kids slowly walked like zombies to the show tent.
“I expectation this isn’t boring.” Ray said.
“Yeah.” Nicole replied.
For the commencement of a story, you need to start out with less dialogue and a lot more description. It's okay if your character has inner thoughts and whatnot, but too much conversation at the very start can give off a bad impression. Try not to repeat words too much.
For example:
"Ray got up from the tree branch and walked back into his reside. Right as he closed the window his parents walked into the room."
You say the word "chamber" at the end of both sentences. You also used the word "walked" twice. Try to come up with a sundry description or at least eliminate the word completely. A friend of mine suggests using a thesaurus to find better or more descriptive/one of a kind words.
You can find one online at http://www.thesaurus.com
Also, you might want to develop your plot..I wasn't sure where this saga was going or if you even knew.
All in all, it needs some work, but I think that if you give your story a little more thought, you'll get there! Remember to use several strange techniques so that your writing doesn't become boring, but most importantly, have fun with it!!
Good luck!

How are you liking the guest host gimmick so far wrestling fans?
Aug 04, 2009 by Brandon | Posted in Wrestling
So far, we've had, Donald Trump, Seth Green, ZZ Top, Shaq, and now Jeremy Piven. So i ask you, do you think about this gimmick is working?
Oh, does anyone else find it ironic that the WWE is promoting an R rated movie considering its more for the younger audiences now?
Who is better:Bret Hart or Chris Jericho?
Aug 03, 2009 by Awesome Face V.4 | Posted in Wrestling
Doubtlessly this will be a good topic to talk about. Here's what i think....
I'm going to give the nod to Jericho.
Now, Bret is one of my favorites of all time. In-band AND on the mic, he was an amazing talent. As someone else mentioned, his mic work in 97' made him THE best interview in the whole industry at the time. While Austin was start to hit his stride in this period and really caught on HUGE in 98', Bret Hart was cutting promos that absolutely mixed "shoot and work" better than anybody else at the time. Ofcourse, people will spot to Nash and Hall over at WCW, but the difference there was, Hart's mic work wasn't bogged down in silly gimmicks or charm phrases (like the nWo) and Hart stuck to the storyline. Hall and Nash were a comedy act in 97' - Bret Hart was extinct serious. At the time, Hall and Nash's mic work was considered much more hip, but looking back, the "Bret Hart Vs. America" was distinguished in its own right and was definitely booked better, start to finish, than the nWo angle, which was hot for awhile, then stale, and then brought back ad nauseum. Bret Hart would cut promos about HBK and 'Taker and Austin and then go out and strive great matches against these guys. Hall & Nash would go out and cut promos just talking about themselves or make fun of the WWE or scold up as the Horsemen. Then, when it was time to deliver, their matches would stink and they would end with inane swerves or cheap run-ins. Bret Hart's promos served a drive and the nWo's really didn't.
But this isn't about Bret Hart vs. the nWo, this is about Bret Hart vs. Jericho. I go with Jericho and here's why...
Versatility. I don't concoct Bret Hart is an overrated technical wrestler - I think he had very good matches with many different kinds of wrestlers. That being said, I assume Chris Jericho had MORE very good matches with MORE different kinds of wrestlers. I'm sure, if he'd been in his prime and skilled to, Bret Hart could have put on classics with guys like Malenko, Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, The Bankrupt, Triple H, and Kurt Angle. He didn't, though. Chris Jericho did.
I also think that as good as Bret Hart was as a crust in 97', very few heels EVER are as good as Chris Jericho has been in the past 2 years. Jericho re-invented himself and he is so over as a lean over right now that people have forgotten all about his ol' wacky gimmick and Ayatollah of Rock N' Rollah stuff. I noticed a ratings ruin that said Jericho's interview 2 weeks ago on RAW was the highest rated segment on the show (except for the overrun). That tells me that Jericho is the biggest follow closely draw in the company and the only reason the overrun got a higher rating was because (a) its the main event and it featured Cena and Triple H (the biggest appearance draws in the company), (b) Seth Green was wrestling, and (c) people were tuning in to watch "Burn Attention" and caught the end of the show.
Jericho's heel turn and subsequent rivalry with Shawn Michaels did "the unthinkable." In that rivalry, Jericho usurped Bret Hart as HBK's greatest rival, in my opinion.
Like I said, this one is very, very suspend to call. I don't think there is a single argument that could convince me to think one way or the other without basing it on personal taste. Comparing tag wins would be fruitless (Bret's first IC title win against Perfect is probably more meaningful than ANY of Jericho's record-breaking 7-8 IC title wins). Comparing # of PPV appearances is similarly hush because for a large part of Bret's careeer, the WWE only produced 4-5 PPVs a year. In-ring, both guys are arguably Top 10 all all together. On the mic, Jericho was a great comedy act (but an even better heel) while Bret Hart brought a stoicism and no-frills distinction to wrestling that always made his matches and his championships mean something. They are/were both excellent storytellers. In the end, I pick Jericho because we've been able to see him good buy the show with just about anybody they put him in the ring with, while we only really got to see what Bret could do against WWE guys (not the more diverse talent in ECW, WCW, Japan, and Mexico).*
* I discern Bret wrestled in Japan and Mexico, but he wrestled there at a time before youTube and DailyMotion and the internet. Cassette-trading communities no doubt spread the word about the Hitman and Dynamite Kid and Owen, but visual prove of Jericho's early career is widely available in 2009 to a degree that Bret Hart's entirely is not. In this way, I am totally biased. I've seen Jericho's international and US indy years, while Bret Hart's representation is not as easy to find online. I don't know - maybe Hart could wrestle great lucha matches that I well-deserved haven't seen. In Jericho's case, I've seen him do it.
